Text, Images and Links: Cans and Can’ts

As you may already know, all html web pages are simply digital collages consisting of 2 primary elements:  Text and Images.  What sets web pages apart from their print equivalents and brings web pages to life is the addition of Links (hyperlinks) to other web pages, which allows authors to refer to similar relevant works, or spark exploration into tangential topics.

Before we move on to learning the basic scripting tags used in HTML,  let’s take a quick look at what you can and can’t do with each element.  Without knowing the strengths and weaknesses  of the language, you can’t use HTML to its full potential.
